Phenikaa University is known as one of the long-term partnerships with PowerGate Software. They required a solution to streamline and enhance their student advising process. They faced challenges due to time-consuming and could not scale to meet the growing number of student inquiries effectively by the traditional methods.
After discussing deeply, PowerGate team developed a chatbot powered by advanced LLM and RAG technology, utilizing the LlamaIndex framework for the RAG application and FastAPI for the backend. This chatbot provides real-time, automated academic advising to students, addressing their queries and offering personalized recommendations based on their academic records and preferences. The implementation has significantly reduced the workload on academic advisors and improved the overall student experience. Additionally, based on students’ questions, the chatbot also can personalize student recommendations on actual situations.
